ultraView is the ultimate web viewing system. ultraView offers 100% inspection of every single sheet with a stunning resolution of <0.1mm. Multiple progressive scan CCD cameras are arranged side by side and in tandem formation. This camera array is synchronized in a way that it captures completely the whole sheet with every rotation. Therefore 100% defect detection, 100% color measurement, 100% color densitometry and a 100% barcode inspection becomes possible.

Comparison with line scan cameras:

ultraView, equipped with area scan cameras, is superior to any line scan camera based system. An example: With line scan cameras the pixel resolution in web running direction is always >1mm at 10m/s web speed compared to constantly <0.1mm with ultraView. This fact becomes even more significant because for the pattern matching of an object a minimum of 2² to 3² pixels are absolutely necessary.
