THETA SYSTEM - since 1986

THETA SYSTEM

Products:

We specialized on two divisons:
• Printing Control Systems
• Scientific CCD Cameras

Data & Facts:

THETA SYSTEM was founded on the 28th Nov. 1985 located in Groebenzell near Munich. THETA SYSTEM already set milestones in technology and operation as OEM-manufacturer in 1986, on which others orientated themselves from the beginning. On the DRUPA 1986 the first web viewing system was introduced followed by the first systems with 3CCD cameras for optimum image quality in 1988. With our new innovations we again strike a new path. Besides our PCS systems, THETA SYSTEM develops and produces scientific special-purpose cameras,
which are used in many departments all over the world. The Nobel prize winner in physics Prof. Dr. Haensch is also working with our cameras. We transferred a lot of experience from the special-purpose camera field in our PCS systems to receive an extraordinary image quality and with this, a more accurate and significant measurement. We are always looking for new ways to provide leading-edge technology that enhances print quality and productivity.

Core Values & Principles:

THETA SYSTEM focuses its development and its job structures consistently on the need for ongoing innovation. All our activities throughout research and advanced development, for example, are oriented towards strategic innovation areas. However, not every new idea in printing control system production

is a genuine innovation in the eyes of THETA SYSTEM. We only acknowledge products or components as real innovations if they offer the customer significantly additional benefits. We think there must be a direct connection between the innovation process and the benefits that result.

Selected References:

MAN ROLAND Augsburg For MAN Roland Druckmaschinen AG, Augsburg Germany, THETA SYSTEM is an OEM manufacturer. THETA SYSTEM developed, designed and manufactured different systems especially for MAN Roland. Worldwide our printing control systems are integrated in print offices, which are characterized by their high claim to efficiency and quality.
Banque de France Another example of our customers is the Banque de France for which we developed a special inline color measurement system for quality control for printing bank notes. On the basis of cameras, these systems operate with a 100% inspection of the Lab-color values and identify bank notes as waste paper, which are not in the tolerance.

Max-Planck-Institue of Plasma Physics
The Max-Planck-Institute of Plasma Physics uses several of our scientific CCD-cameras for the fusion experiment ASDEX Upgrade for research purposes, of which we are really proud. We appreciate this confidence.

Plataforma Solar de Almeria

In south Spain lies the Plataforma Solar de Almeria (PSA) of the German Aerospace Center DLR. It’s a part of the solar research of the DLR for the optimization of a variety of high-temperature solar technologies under nearly practicable conditions. Also in this area our cameras are used.

Applied Physics of the University Bonn The Institute for Applied Physics of the University Bonn and the Max-Planck-Institute of Quantum Optics use our cameras for the analysis of the Bose-Einstein Condensate (BEC). The following web-sites provide a descriptive explanation of BEC. Most of the images were taken with our CCD-cameras.
